It takes a special kind of person to summit Everest, let alone the other six highest summits on Earth. Cheryl Bart AO is that special kind of person, not just in climbing but in business. She’s seen success as a lawyer and has served on countless boards as a non-executive Director, ranging from the ABC, FAA, to TEDxSydney. Her contributions to Australian sport, business, and community, saw her recognised with one of the highest honours in Australia, Officer of the Order of Australia.

While climbing Everest is an incredible feat, for Cheryl it all started with a diary entry into her calendar two years prior—a goal set for when she plans to complete her adventure. Incredibly, Cheryl wasn’t alone for her summits—her daughter Nikki joined her, making the pair the first mother-daughter duo in history to complete all Seven Summits.
