PROFESSOR HOPE
SPEAKING
FRIDAY
Imagining Hope With AIME
Hope doesn't come easily. Hope is a struggle. Hope is trying as hard as possible to build that bridge between reality and unreality. Dangerous to reign in, with tremendous depth and wisdom, Hope feels the heaviness of "hope." That burden is a big burden. When we deify celebrities, we say they're different than us—Hope fits that mold. Hope is hard work. You don't get to opt out of that.
Hope is dealing with all the things you're dealing with, and also carries this giant burden, saying and thinking: "Don't make me carry this alone!" Hope is an exhausted optimist. A key phrase that depicts Hope's contradictory nature: the sign of intelligence is holding two conflicting thoughts at the same time. Hope has (tragically) mastered this in his pursuit of starting Imagination University.
